Jonathan Gould

Before joining Promontory, Jonathan was Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, where he advised senators on banking, privacy, and credit issues. He advised on issues such as deposit insurance reform, regulatory structure, student lending, and industrial loan companies. He was also involved in drafting and securing passage of the Financial Services Regulatory Relief Act of 2006 and the Federal Deposit Insurance Reform Act of 2005. Jonathan was responsible for coordinating committee oversight of the federal banking agencies, including the Federal Reserve Board, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., the Office of Thrift Supervision, and the National Credit Union Administration. Jonathan started his career at the law firm of Alston & Bird, where he worked on corporate and regulatory matters for financial services companies.
