Chris Lewis

Prior to Promontory, Chris served as Senior Vice President, Division Executive, of the Card Services unit of Washington Mutual, with lead responsibilities for operational risk management, regulatory relations and public policy. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Public Policy Officer at Providian Financial Corp., leading the company's programs for federal and state government affairs, regulatory relations and social responsibility. Chris' public service includes various positions at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, including Senior Advisor to the Comptroller, with responsibilities for consumer protection policy development and external relations.Prior to his government service, Chris led the financial services advocacy program of the Consumer Federation of America, along with those of other national consumer organizations.
