Scott T Mikuen

Scott T. Mikuen is senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for Harris Corporation. In this role, he oversees legal, contracts, compliance and risk management support to all Harris business operations and functional areas and is a member of the Harris Executive Committee. As corporate secretary, Mikuen also provides counsel on corporate governance matters and works very closely with the Board of Directors. He is also a Trustee of the Harris Foundation and a member of the Harris Political Action Committee. Previously, Mikuen was vice president-general counsel and secretary. Before that, he was vice president-associate general counsel and secretary with responsibilities for corporate governance, SEC compliance, finance and merger and acquisition transactions. Mikuen joined Harris in 1996 and has served in various positions within the Legal department, including vice president-counsel, with responsibility for Harris corporate and commercial division legal affairs and as finance counsel. Prior to joining Harris, he served as a partner in a Long Island, New York, law firm. Mikuen earned a bachelor’s degree with high honors from Colgate University and a law degree with honors from the Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practice in New York and Florida. Mikuen is a member of the New York and Florida Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, the Society of Governance Professionals and the Association of Corporate Counsel. Mikuen is also a member of the Melbourne International Airport Authority board and a director of Club Esteem, a nonprofit organization serving youth living in economically disadvantaged communities. He plays competitive sports (having represented a Florida team in USA Hockey “Over 40” and “Over 50” Nationals).
