Lisa Andrews

At Kelley Drye, Ms. Andrews will leverage her far-reaching experience regarding financial services issues to advocate on behalf of client interests before the U.S. Congress and federal agencies. With more than 20 years experience representing legislative clients or serving within government, Ms. Andrews has developed substantial expertise on financial services issues. She served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Liaison at the Department of the Treasury during the Clinton Administration and was the founder of her own public affairs advocacy firm, Washington Communications Group, Inc. Her clients have included insurers, financial institutions, diversified financial organizations and community development interests. Ms. Andrews’ experience in providing strategic advice goes beyond the Nation’s Capital. As Senior Vice-President of ACC Capital, she developed and managed a sophisticated national government affairs program and lobbied and testified before State legislatures on subprime mortgage lending and consumer protection legislation. In addition to financial services, Ms. Andrews has experience in other issue areas, such as tax, privacy, trade, e-commerce and energy matters. With a comprehensive approach to advocacy, Ms. Andrews is skilled at managing and building coalitions in support of legislative goals. She calls upon her extensive network of contacts, including key policymakers, staffers, business groups, and consumer organizations to build influential alliances. Her personal network extends to a number of professional associations as well. Ms. Andrews is past president of Women in Housing and Finance, and currently serves on the WHF Foundation’s board of directors. She is also an active member of the Tax Coalition, the Women’s Congressional Golf Association, and the DNC’s Women’s Leadership Forum, where she previously was a Member of the Executive Committee. Ms. Andrews graduated cum laude with a B.A. in economics from Southern Methodist University and holds her law degree from the George Washington University Law School.
