He is a cardiac and thoracic surgeon, and has been President of Mid-Atlantic Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Ltd. since 1979. Dr. Baker is a trustee of Johns Hopkins University and a member of the board of trustees of Johns Hopkins Medicine (which includes Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System).
