Lois Perelson-Gross

Lois Perelson-Gross was formerly a vice president in the Municipal Finance Department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. She is currently pursuing a career in Humanistic Medicine through a Master of Science in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University and through the Clinical Pastoral Education program of the HealthCare Chaplaincy of New York. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of Smith College, where she serves on the Executive Committee and as the chair of the Building and Grounds Committee. She served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of The Dalton School in New York City. She is a former member of the Cabinet of the Caring Commission of UJA/Federation of New York, the former Chair of its Health, Healing and Hospice Committee, and the founding Chair of its Committee on Mental Health and Wellness. Lois has also served as a trustee of The Children’s Center Foundation at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. She is currently a member of New York Advisory Council of The Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare and of the J Street New York Region Leadership Committee. In the spring of 2013, Lois and her husband, Stewart Gross, served as Chairs of the Seeds of Peace 20th Anniversary Benefit dinner in New York City. Lois received an undergraduate degree Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude with highest honors in history from Smith College and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. She and her husband have three children, all of whom have had multi-year involvements with Seeds of Peace in a range of capacities. She resides in New York City.
