Sanford Belden

Sanford Belden of Hatfield, Mass., is the former president and chief executive of Community Bank System, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange-traded banking company with 130 branches. Now retired, Belden is an active member in the community. He serves on the boards of the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, and Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity. Belden earned a doctorate in agricultural economics from Purdue University.
