Archis A Parasharami

Archis A. Parasharami is a litigation associate in the Washington office. He joined Mayer Brown in 2003 after clerking for Judge Leonard I. Garth of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Since joining the firm, Archis has written briefs filed in the US Supreme Court, federal and state appellate courts, and at the trial court level. He has also argued an appeal in the Pennsylvania Superior Court in Afroilan v. AT&T Wireless Services, Inc., as well as several motions in state and federal courts. Archis has experience litigating the enforceability of arbitration agreements, with a particular emphasis on consumer contracts. He has advised businesses on drafting arbitration clauses in a wide variety of settings and has co-authored a number of articles on arbitration. Archis also handles employment matters, and has authored amicus briefs for the US Chamber of Commerce and for a number of businesses in Sprint United Management Co. v. Mendelsohn, involving the admissibility of certain evidence in employment discrimination litigation. While at Mayer Brown, Archis has undertaken a number of pro bono matters, including serving on the Hindu American Foundation’s Legal Advisory team.
