Brian Dailey is a lobbyist. He is an employee of Lockheed Martin with the title Vice President of Washington Operations. The company website says, "Dailey will strategically direct the Corporation's liaison with Congress, the Pentagon, the executive branch and all federal offices and agencies in the Washington, D.C, area." [1] In a review of Washington D.C.-based lobbyists The Hill wrote "With some of the top defense programs at stake, Dailey and his team will be hard at work this year."[2] Before joining LMGT, Dailey reported to Lockheed Martin's Executive Office as Vice President-Strategic Development. Previously, he held dual positions with the Corporation's Space & Strategic Missiles Sector: Vice President-Business Development and Vice President-Washington Operations. He also served as Vice President-Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Co. and Director-Commercial Programs for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space in Sunnyvale, Calif. Dailey joined Lockheed Martin from the White House where President Bush appointed him executive secretary of the National Space Council. Prior to that he was senior professional staff member at the Senate Armed Services Committee and had served in various capacities in the Department of Defense and research institutes, including a professorship at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. Dailey is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he earned a Ph.D. in International Relations. "We are confident that Brian's experience and insight will further strengthen the Corporation's relationships with key Washington constituencies established under Dave Osterhout's leadership," Coffman said. "Dave's exceptional talent, dedication and record of success-some 37 years in business and in his career with the U.S. Air Force-have served Lockheed Martin and the nation well."
