The Breeders’ Cup announced on June 9th 2020 that Spendthrift Farm president Eric Gustavson was one of 19 individuals elected to serve as a Breeders’ Cup Member. Gustavson will serve a four-year term on the Board of Directors, which meets annually in July and oversees the organization’s activities. Eric joined the family farm with B. Wayne Hughes at Spendthrift in 2006 and has overseen Spendthrift’s extensive growth going from one homebred stallion to currently having the largest roster in North America.
