Jose B Alvarez

Mr. Alvarez has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Stop & Shop/Giant-Landover, a supermarket chain and division of Royal Ahold N.V., since 2006. Mr. Alvarez joined Stop & Shop in 2001, and served as Executive Vice President, Supply Chain and Logistics from 2004 to 2006, Senior Vice President, Logistics from 2002 to 2004 and Vice President, Strategic Initiatives prior to 2002. Mr. Alvarez began his career in supermarket retail management at American Stores Company and Shaw's Supermarkets. Chairman of the Joyce Foundation and Trustee at Princeton University.
