DALLAS, TX – Oct. 1, 2018 – Texas 2036, a non-partisan 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to sustaining the success of Texas, has announced the launch of its new website and data platform. Texas 2036 uses data, research, and leading experts to enable Texans to make informed decisions about the core challenges impacting the state’s future. The group is currently working on a strategic policy plan, scheduled for draft release at the end of 2019, focused on change in six key policy areas: education & workforce, health & human services, infrastructure, natural resources, justice & safety, and government performance. Core to the work of Texas 2036 is the use of data to inform planning and drive decision making. The Texas 2036 Data Platform, accessible at dataplatform.texas2036.org, offers a free, online repository of Texas-related data sources. The platform allows users to visualize, manipulate, and download datasets from trusted sources that can educate Texans, drive informed policy development, and measure state success.
