Mr. James M. Hoak, Jr., Jim is the Co-Founder and Chairman Hoak Media Corporation. Mr. Hoak served as the Chief Executive Officer of Hoak Media Corporation. Mr. Hoak is an Operating Partner of CIC Partners, LP. He served as Principal and Chairman at Hoak Communications Partners, L.P. He specializes in media investments and has founded numerous media and communications businesses. Mr. Hoak has more than 35 years of experience as an Entrepreneur, Operator, Investor, and Chief Executive Officer in various industries. In 1971, he founded Heritage Communications, Inc. In 1991, Mr. Hoak co-founded Crown Media, Inc. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Crown Media, Inc. from February 1991 to January 1995. From 1971 to 1987, Mr. Hoak served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Heritage Communications, Inc. and as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from August 1987 to December 1990. Mr. Hoak served as the Chairman of the Board at Chaparral Steel Company Inc since July 22, 2005. He serves as Member of Executive Committee for Chaparral Steel Company Inc. He serves as a Director of Mustang Gas Compression, LLC and Austin Industries, Inc. He serves as a Director of several public companies. He serves as a Director of Hoak Media. He serves as a Director of Midwest Resources, Inc.; and Hoak, Breedlove, Wesneski & Co. He has been a Director of Pier 1 Imports Inc. since September 1991. Mr. Hoak served as a Director of Texas Industries Inc. since 1995 and Intelsat Corporation since May 1997. Mr. Hoak served as a Director of Grande Communications Holdings Inc. (now Rio Holdings, Inc.) from February 2000 to May 24, 2005. Mr. Hoak also served as a Director of Intelsat Holding Corporation, Sammons nterprises, Inc., Hallmark Channel, Inc., and Cypress Capital Partners I, LP. Mr. Hoak served as a Director of Southern Methodist University - Edwin L. Cox School of Business. He served as a Governor of American Stock Exchange. Mr. Hoak received a JD from Stanford University School of Law in 1969 and a BA from the Yale University.
