Stephen B Bram

Stephen B. Bram is Group President, Competitive Energy Businesses, of Consolidated Edison, Inc. In this role, he oversees the operations of its three non-regulated subsidiaries: Consolidated Edison Solutions, Inc., a retail energy supply and services company; Consolidated Edison Energy, Inc., a wholesale energy supply company; and Consolidated Edison Development, Inc., a company that owns and operates generating plants and participates in other infrastructure projects. He directs the strategies of these companies in the competitive marketplace and coordinates their approach to serving wholesale and retail customers. Mr. Bram is also chairman of the three companies and president of the company that provides their financial and human resource services. Prior to being named to his current position, Mr. Bram was President and CEO of Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc., an electric and gas utility headquartered in Pearl River, New York. Mr. Bram joined Con Edison in 1963, and has held positions of Vice President, System and Transmission Operations, Vice President, Fossil Power and Vice President, Nuclear Power before becoming Senior Vice President, Central Operations. In that role, he had responsibility for System and Transmission Operations, Substation Operations, Fossil Power, Nuclear Power, Energy Management, Steam Operations and Maintenance and Construction. Mr. Bram obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from M.I.T. in 1963 and a Master of Business Administration from New York University in 1966. He attended the Advanced Management Program for Senior Executives at Harvard University in 1994. From 1968 to 1979, Mr. Bram was an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Management Science Department of Pace University - Graduate School of Business Administration. Mr. Bram currently serves on the Board of the New York Building Congress and the Jewish Federation of Greater Middlesex County (NJ).
