Richard Gilder III

Richard Gilder III has taught Latin and Greek to students from 5th grade through graduate school. Currently he teaches Latin, Greek, and Spanish to 7th, 8th, and 9th graders at Tuxedo Park School, a pre k – 9 coeducational day school in Tuxedo Park, NY. He is also adjunct lecturer of Latin and Greek in the Foreign Language for Reading Knowledge Program at the Graduate Center of CUNY. Dr. Gilder graduated cum laude from South Kent School in 1980. He received his B.A. from Haverford College (1984), his M.A. from City University of New York (1991), and his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania (1997) – teaching and coaching all the while.
