The Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA) is transforming the way breakthrough military solutions are delivered by rapidly translating innovative technologies into capabilities that will help take Defence further, faster. Our purpose is to accelerate delivery of capability to our Australian Defence Force (ADF) through innovation, underpinned by a work ethic aligned with Defence values. The transformation of Australia’s defence innovation ecosystem is critical in delivering the advanced technologies that Australia requires for our national security. ASCA connects and streamlines the defence innovation system by focusing on defined missions, solving the most relevant and urgent capability problems, and taking a more flexible and agile approach to procurement. This accelerates the transition of innovation into capability solutions that are acquired by Defence for the ADF, with the urgency required by our strategic circumstances.
