Philippe Laffont

Philippe Laffont is a hedge fund manager. He established Coatue Management in 1999 and serves as the fund’s chief investment officer. From 1996 to 1999, he worked as a research analyst at Tiger Management, a hedge fund known for inspiring its employee alumni to go on to found hedge funds of their own. From 1992 to 1994, Laffont worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Laffont received an MS and a BA in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1991.
