Patricia M Cloherty

Ms. Patricia M. Cloherty, also known as Pat, is the Chairman of Mojave Therapeutics, Inc. She served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Delta Private Equity Partners. She served as the Chief Executive Officer of the management company from 2003 to 2006. Ms. Cloherty served as Co-Chairman and President of Apax Partners Worldwide LLP (formerly Apax Partners, Inc. and Patricof & Co. Ventures, inc.) and its General Partner from 1973 to 1999. She joined Apax Partners Worldwide in 1970, and from which she withdrew in 2000. She served President and Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association of the United States. From 1977 to 1978, Ms. Cloherty was the Deputy Administrator, U.S. Small Business Administration, appointed by President Carter. In 1981, she was also the founding President of the Committee of 200. She served in the Peace Corps in Brazil from 1963 to 1965. In 1991, President George H.W. Bush appointed Ms. Cloherty to the Chairman of an Investment Advisory Council to revamp the Small Business Investment Company program of the U.S. Small Business Administration. She served as Co-Chairman of the board of trustee at Teachers College Columbia University She has been a Director of Agouron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since 1988. She serves as a Director of Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. She serves as a Member of Advisory Board at Emerging Markets Private Equity Association. She serves as a Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia and a Member of the Advisory Boards of two business schools in Russia, in Skolkovo and Saint Petersburg. Ms. Cloherty serves as a Director of Columbia University, The U.S.-Russia Business Council, PrimeStar (Russia), Vesch! (Russia), videoNEXT Network Solutions, Inc. (VideoNext Solutions, Inc.), and DeltaLeasing (Russia). She served as a Director of NYSE Euronext, Inc. from April 2009 to April 25, 2013. She served as Independent Director of Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Lexicon Genetics Inc.) from May 1998 to April 30, 2006. She served as a Director of Tessera, Inc. since August 1996 and Tessera Technologies Inc. from August 1996 to November 5, 2004. She served as Director of Peregrine Semiconductor Corporation. She served as Trustee of Columbia University, a Trustee for Life of International House, and a Trustee Emeritus of Columbia University’s Teachers College. Ms. Cloherty is a member of the Rockefeller University Council and the Council on Foreign Relations. In 2004, she was named Businessperson of the Year by the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia. In December 2006, Ms. Cloherty was named a Technology’s Top Dealmaker by Forbes magazine. In February 2007, Moscow Government awarded her for outstanding contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in Russia and for establishing and supporting small business in the country. In October 2007, she received the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship organized by the Kennan Center of the Woodrow Wilson Institute for International Scholars. In November 2007, the Russian Academy of Business granted Ms. Cloherty the Darin award for her significant and long-standing contribution to the creation of the new Russian economy. On March 17, 2008 President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree awarding Ms. Cloherty the Order of Friendship for her major contribution to the development of Russian business and for strengthening friendship and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the United States of America. Ms. Cloherty holds an M.A. degree and an M.I.A. degree from Columbia University and a B.A. degree from the San Francisco College for Women.
