Richard J Harshman

Rich Harshman became Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (ATI) on May 1, 2011. Previously, he served as ATI’s President and Chief Operating Officer beginning in August 2010. Prior to that, Mr. Harshman served as Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer and a member of ATI’s Executive Management Committee from October 2003 to August 2010. Mr. Harshman began his career with Teledyne, Inc. (a predecessor company to ATI) in 1978. Mr. Harshman was named one of the Most Influential People in Business in 2011 by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He was also honored with the Best CFO Award in 2008 by Institutional Investor and named 2008 CFO of the Year (Public Company Category) by the Pittsburgh Business Times. In May 2013, he was the recipient of the AIST (Association for Iron and Steel Technology) William T. Hogan, S.J. Lecture Award. In March 2014, he was honored by the American Red Cross as the recipient of the Distinguished Leadership Award. Mr. Harshman and his wife, Scheryl, reside in Upper St. Clair, PA and have 3 adult children.
