Larry Seabrook

In 2001, New York City Councilman Larry B. Seabrook made history as the first African American to hold office in three legislative branches: New York State Assembly (first minority candidate to be elected from the 83rd Assembly District), New York State Senate, and in his current position as a member of the New York City Council. abrook holds a B.A. Degree in History and Urban Studies from John Jay College, an M.A. Degree in Political Science and International Affairs from Long Island University and a J.D. Degree from CUNY Law School in Queens. He was a recipient of a graduate certificate from the United Nations, the John Jay College Distinguished Service Award and the President Medal. Seabrook resides in Co-Op City in the Northeast Bronx.
