Jeff Brody

Redpoint's founding partner maintains a broad focus on technology, spanning enterprise and consumer tech. His early bet on Sidekick maker Danger won Redpoint a 15% ownership stake and board seat before Microsoft bought it for $500 million in 2008. Led an early stage investment in high-def video communications outfit LifeSize, which sold to Logitech for $405 million in 2009. Investment in online real estate listing company LoopNet scored Redpoint a 13% ownership stake in the now-public company. Brody serves on the board of hot home rental business HomeAway, which just filed for its IPO, revealing Redpoint's 19% ownership stake. Early in his career Brody cofounded a mobile telecommunications company and worked as a field engineer for Schlumberger in Europe and Africa.
