Dick D’Amato’s career and interests span forty years -- from serving in senior policy positions on Capitol Hill, to elective office in the Maryland General Assembly, serving on the Appropriations Committee, as well as appointments to a variety of federal commissions and charitable boards. He also works for environmental and sustainable development projects. He was a naval officer, serving in the Pacific during the Viet Nam war and teaching at the U.S. Naval Academy. He retired from the Navy Reserves as a Captain. Dick D’Amato graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and earned a Master of Arts from the Fletcher School (Tufts University) and a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law School.
