Terry Keenan Kass

A business reporter who handled high finance with a populist touch for CNN and Fox News, among other television outlets, and most recently as a business columnist for The New York Post, Hired initially by PBS as a producer and writer for “Wall Street Week With Louis Rukeyser,” Ms. Keenan moved in 1986 to CNN, where, in a similar role, she worked for “Moneyline,” with Lou Dobbs. It was Mr. Dobbs who persuaded her — initially against her will, her sister said — to go in front of the camera. After a stint at CNBC, she joined Fox in 2002. There, in addition to being a business correspondent, she was the anchor of a program about investing, “Cashin’ In,” on the Fox Business Channel. She left Fox for The Post in 2009. She graduated from Johns Hopkins with a degree in mathematics. Her father, Joseph, was a sociology professor at the State University at Albany. Her mother, the former Marie Thibodeau, ran an employment agency for young women. After her marriage in 1994 to Ronald Kass, a manufacturing executive, she was known in her private life as Terry Keenan Kass. In addition to her husband and her sister Linda, she is survived by another sister, Joellen Gardner, and a son, Benjamin Keenan Kass.
