Dr. Jeanne and Rex Sinquefield have dedicated their retirements to helping future generations, from supporting programs that offer the best educational options to low-income children to providing extracurricular opportunities to elementary and secondary students. They founded the Sinquefield Charitable Foundation to enhance existing programs and to create new projects that support those goals. Rex Sinquefield’s desire to promote the academic benefits of chess was the catalyst for the Foundation opening the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis in 2007. And Dr. Jeanne Sinquefield’s passion for music — she’s a bassist in three central Missouri symphonies — sparked the Foundation to launch the Creating Original Music Project with the University of Missouri in 2005. Recently, the Sinquefields donated $1 million to the University of Missouri’s School of Music to start a new composing program. Dr. Jeanne and Rex Sinquefield have three children. Randy, Katie, and Luke attended the University of Missouri and all currently reside in Columbia, Mo and sit on the Board of the Foundation.
