About Marzano Research Located in Centennial, Colorado, Marzano Research is a research and professional development organization that translates research into strategies educators can use to significantly advance student achievement. The company’s solutions are based on Dr. Robert J. Marzano’s 50 years of education research, combined with action research conducted in schools. Our services and products include customizable on-site professional development, educator events, books, videos, and online courses, with a strong emphasis on curriculum development, instruction, assessment, teacher support and development, student engagement, and personalized competency-based education. In 2012, Marzano Research expanded its operations into sponsored research funded by external agencies such as the U.S. Department of Education. The company won the Central Regional Educational Laboratory contract—one of ten Regional Educational Laboratories (RELs) funded by the Institute of Education Sciences. RELs work in partnership with state education agencies, districts, schools, and others to conduct applied research, communicate information and ideas about approaches that are based on credible research, and provide technical assistance to support educators in using research to address practical issues. Since winning its first REL contract, Marzano Research has built a team that brings world-class research to the field.
