Founded in 1892, Crowley Maritime, based in Oakland, California, is a family- and employee-owned company providing four operating lines of business: liner services, logistics, marine services and petroleum services. Its liner shipping services moves ocean cargo to and from the United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Central America and Russia. Crowley's logistic services include supply chain management and transportation management service. Crowley is the largest independent operator of petroleum barges and tankers in the United States.
