Pliant Corp., formerly Huntsman Packaging, is a producer of plastic film packaging materials for personal care, medical, agricultural and industrial applications. The company produces specialty films for personal care products such as diapers; films used with foil, paper and other packaging materials; barrier films for cookie, cracker and cereal box liners; and films for the frozen food and agricultural markets. The company operates 23 manufacturing and research development companies worldwide. In July 2006, Pliant Corporation announced that it has completed its previously announced financial restructuring and has exited Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection.
