Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company

Jack Crawford Taylor founded Enterprise Rent-A-Car in 1957 in St. Louis, as an auto leasing service. The company started with 17 cars, and within a few years, the business expanded into daily rentals, focusing on customers whose regular vehicles were in the repair shop. In August 2007, Enterprise acquired Vanguard Car Rental with its National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car businesses.
