Crosby Advisors is the family office for the Johnson family. Many ultra-high-net-worth individuals have family offices that act as private wealth management advisory firms. They perform a variety of services, including overseeing investments, budgeting, insurance, charitable giving, family-owned businesses, wealth transfer and tax services. Crosby Advisors employs at least 100 people. It was previously headquartered in Boston, but moved to Salem, New Hampshire to pay less taxes in 2011. The firm oversees Johnson family assets including investments in a global financial services business, a trust company, venture capital, private equity, real estate, public securities, significant charitable organizations, and art and antiquities. The only investment Crosby Advisors appears to have disclosed recently with the SEC is a 100% stake in Resmed, a manufacturer of CPAP masks.
