The Future Drought Fund (FDF) was established on 1 September 2019 by the Future Drought Fund Act 2019 (FDF Act) In the 2022-23 Budget, the Australian Government has allocated a further $94.5 million over 2022-23 to 2027-28 to continue delivery of the Drought Resilience Funding Plan 2020-2024. Fund programs The Future Drought Fund launched its first programs on the 1st of July 2020 to build resilience to future droughts. Programs are being delivered in accordance with the principles outlined in the Drought Resilience Funding Plan 2020-2024.
