Hinchingbrooke Hospital NHS

Hinchingbrooke Hospital is a small district general hospital in Hinchingbrooke near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England. Opened in 1983, it serves the Huntingdonshire area, and has a range of specialities as well as an emergency department and a maternity unit. In 2011 it became a potential trailblazer for NHS hospital privatisation when it was taken over by Circle Health. Three years into a 10 year contract, Circle pulled out and left the NHS to pick up the tab. It was a total failure.
