Montana is a very special place. Its natural beauty and majesty reflect the handiwork of a loving God like few places on earth. Young Life has been walking with and serving kids in Montana since 1961. The city of Billings was the very first community under Founder Jim Rayburn's Leadership that was solely led by volunteers. In 1963, Young Life began to blossom in Bozeman, and in 1973 Missoula began to grow. Throughout Young Life's history in Montana, faithful volunteers and Young Life Staff have walked with the Lord and closely with kids. Through casual conversation, planned local events and meaningful adventures at Young Life camps, leaders earn the right to be heard and the Gospel is experienced. It is always communicated through unconditional love that reflects the agape love of the Father. Today, Young Life is at work in 30 high schools and middle schools within 13 different communities across Montana. We have planted seeds at the Native American Reservations of Flathead, Crow and Lame Deer. This ia a pioneering work that requires a resilient spirit. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us as we forge forward on this great mission in the amazing place known as Big Sky Country!
