Leadership and staff of Bureau of Legislative Affairs also have positions in these orgs
The Bureau of Legislative Affairs is the State Department’s lobbying arm. Its staffers work closely with authorizing, appropriations, and oversight committees of the House and Senate, as well as with individual lawmakers that have an interest in State Department or foreign policy issues. The office also coordinates department testimony before congressional hearings, organizes member and staff briefings, and facilitates congressional travel overseas. The bureau is organized into four offices: the office of Senate Affairs; Office of House Affairs; Office of Regional, Global, and Functional Affairs; and the Executive Office.
