Vincent L. Ammann, Jr., is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for WGL Holdings, Inc. and Washington Gas Light Co. He is responsible for the administration and supervision of all financial functions including accounting, taxes, investor relations, risk management, treasury management and procurement. A Detroit, Michigan, native, Mr. Ammann holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Michigan, and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. He began his career as a CPA in the Detroit office of Deloitte Haskins & Sells (currently, Deloitte & Touche). While at Deloitte, he worked as an auditor, serving a number of clients in various industries. There, he rose through the ranks and eventually was assigned to the firm's Washington, D.C.-based Public Utilities Services Group and provided research and consulting services to industry clients. In addition to serving as Vice President, Accounting, for Connecticut Energy Corp., the parent company for Southern Connecticut Gas Co., Mr. Ammann utilized his broad-based business knowledge to lead a number of administrative departments at the utility. He served as president of a non-regulated technology subsidiary and led post-merger integration activities for the utility following its acquisition by Energy East Corp., which also acquired a neighboring gas utility company, Connecticut Natural Gas Corp., in 2000. He played a pivotal role in facilitating the merger of the utilities' management teams and was later named Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration, for both utilities. Mr. Ammann joined Washington Gas in 2004 as Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer and was elected to the office of Vice President in 2005. He was elected Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2006. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Accounting Principles Committee of the American Gas Association. Prior to relocating, he served on a number of community boards, including Connecticut Junior Achievement, the Greater Bridgeport Symphony Orchestra, Connecticut Audubon Society and St. Raphael Healthcare System.
