Rob Wadsworth joined the Firm in 1986 and is a managing director who focuses on direct investments globally. He manages many of the Firm's investment activities in the industrial, services, and information technology sectors and serves on the Firm's Executive Management Committee overseeing HarbourVest's day-to-day operating activities and strategic direction. Rob also works with a number of the Firm's portfolio companies in a director capacity. He is a director of publicly-traded Network Engines, Inc. (NASDAQ: NEI), and is also a director of Camstar Systems, Earth Networks, Kinaxis, and several other privately-held companies. Rob's prior experience includes management consulting with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, where he specialized in the areas of operations strategy and manufacturing productivity. He received a BS (magna cum laude) in Systems Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Virginia in 1982 and an MBA (with distinction) from Harvard Business School in 1986. Rob serves as a Trustee of the University of Virginia School of Engineering & Applied Science, St. Sebastian's School, and the Dana Hall School.
