Mr. Spiegel has served as non-executive chairman and a director of S1 Corporation, a provider of integrated applications for financial institutions, since October 2006. Mr. Spiegel is a director of Bentley Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company, and a member of the board of trustees of Colonial Properties Trust, a real estate investment trust. Mr. Spiegel served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of SunTrust Banks, Inc., a bank holding company, until August 2000, when he became vice chairman and chief financial officer. He retired from these positions in August 2004. He continued to serve as a non-executive vice chairman of SunTrust Banks Holding Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SunTrust Banks, Inc., through March 31, 2005.
