Barbara Maynard

Barbara Maynard is the president of Maynard Consulting Services, offering strategic consulting and communications services for progressive campaigns in California. Previously, she was L.A. County Supervisor Gloria Molina’s budget deputy , and in 2002, she worked closely with LAANE on behalf of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 770 in the campaign to stop Wal-Mart in Inglewood, as well as during the 2003-04 Southern California supermarket strike. More recently, Barbara has partnered with LAANE on the Clean Trucks rogram at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Barbara is a founding board member and now executive director of the Horizon Institute and Vice President of the Miguel Contreras Foundation.
