Nathalie Alegre

Nathalie joined ALIGN as an organizer in Summer 2010. Previously, she was the co-chair of the New Haven Environmental Justice Network, where she led a successful coalition campaign for stricter air quality standards at a local fossil fuel power plant, and helped build a grassroots leadership committee of hotel workers as field organizer with UNITE HERE Local 355 in Miami. A graduate of Yale University, her academic work concentrated on sustainable urban and rural development, with a special focus on issues of social equity and environmental justice. A native of Perú, Nathalie holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Yale and an Associate in Arts degree from Miami Dade College.
