Mr. Lipschitz currently serves on the Boards of Finlay Enterprises, New York & Company, Majesco Entertainment and Forward Industries. He served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Toys "R" Us, Inc. from 1996 until his retirement in 2004. Mr. Lipschitz chose to retire at a relatively early age — 59 — saying on his last day at Toys that he wanted to spend more time with his family, join corporate boards as a director and become more active in charity work, particularly the New Alternatives for Children, a New York City charity that helps special needs children who are abandoned at birth find foster and adoptive parents. Mr. Lipschitz had been on the board of New Alternatives for Children since 1999 and became the treasurer of the organization after he retired from Toys. He joined the board of directors of The Children’s Place in 2008 and was the chairman of the company’s audit committee and a member of the nominating and the corporate governance committee. He also was on the board of video game company Majesto Entertainment. He previously served on the boards of New York & Co. Inc., Forward Industries Inc. and Finlay Enterprises.
