Michael J Santone

Mike Santone is the chief operating officer of GenSpring Family Offices, SunTrust’s multi-family office affiliate providing independent advice to families of substantial wealth. Mike spent his prior five years as the chief financial officer for SunTrust Banks, Inc.’s Wealth & Investment Management line of business. In that capacity Mike served as a strategic advisor to executive management with oversight for all finance and accounting activities for SunTrust’s Wealth & Investment Management businesses including GenSpring Family Offices, SunTrust Investment Services, RidgeWorth Investments, SunTrust Institutional Investment Solutions, Sports & Entertainment, and SunTrust Private Wealth Management. A 13-year SunTrust veteran, Mike has held increasingly responsible positions in finance including managing SunTrust’s financial reporting function which included external corporate reporting to the Federal Reserve Bank and Securities & Exchange Commission. A native of Philadelphia, Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Barry University, and a license as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Georgia.
