Michael Atchie

Mike Atchie is a Local Government Specialist for Chesapeake Energy Corporation’s Eastern Division, where he works to ensure communication and engagement between the company and the municipalities in which Chesapeake operates. Mike is involved in grass-roots efforts to inform public officials, landowners, business leaders and other stakeholders regarding the process and benefits of natural gas development in NY State. Prior to joining Chesapeake, Mike worked as the Assistant Director and later Director of Planning, Housing and Community Development for the City of Binghamton, New York. Mike is a graduate of LeMoyne College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, and later attended Binghamton University, where he earned a Master of Public Administration degree.
