Frederic Lau

Before joining Promontory,Fred was head of group risk management for Dah Sing Banking Group, a listed financial institution headquartered in Hong Kong. He was also a member of the board of trustees of the Global Association of Risk Professionals. Earlier in his career,Fred worked for a decade with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, heading at various times the New York Representative Office, the Banking Policy Division and the Banking Supervision Division. Earlier, he worked for nine years with the U.S. Office of Thrift Supervision, where he became senior examiner-in-charge of the agency's major institutions division.
