Meryl R Kaynard

Special Counsel to the President of Queens College and, as a key member of the executive management team, provides guidance on all legal matters impacting the student body, faculty and administration. Prior to this, Meryl headed the Employment Law and Benefits Group at JPMorgan Chase for close to 20 years, servicing every line of business, the Corporate Human Resources function, and senior management. She also served as the Director of Diversity & Special Counsel at a global law firm Fortune 100 firm, an associate at a management labor and employment firm, Assistant Corporation Counsel for the New York City Law Department and a Judicial Clerk to a Federal District Court Judge. Ms. Kaynard received her B.S. from Cornell University, attended Fordham Law School, and graduated from Wayne State University Law School where she was on the Law Journal. She lives in New York, is married to an architect and city planner, and has two wonderful daughters.
