Sir Angus Grossart

Noble Grossart Ltd, Edinburgh, is a merchant bank Sir Angus co-founded in 1969, and which acts as a financial or strategic advisor to many public and private companies and other bodies. Sir Angus has served on the board of directors of many public and private companies in the UK, US, and Canada involving investment, investment management, property, energy, construction, insurance, media and other sectors, including: Scottish & Newcastle PLC , Trinity Mirror PLC, Scottish Daily Record, Edinburgh U.S. Tracker Trust PLC, and Royal Bank of Scotland Group, where he was a vice chairman. He graduated from Glasgow University in Arts and Law, and is both a chartered accountant and a member of the Scottish Bar. He has been awarded multiple honorary degrees, and was knighted in 1997.
