Michael D Brown

Mr. Brown has over 27 years of leveraged finance and private equity investment experience to middle market companies within diverse industry sectors. Mr. Brown has extensive experience working with management teams and private equity sponsors and has served on numerous portfolio company boards. From October 2005-July 2011, Mr. Brown was a Managing Director and opened a Dallas office for The Gladstone Companies, a publicly traded business development company (BDC). From July 1995-September 2005, Mr. Brown was Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Stratford Capital Partners, LP and Stratford Equity Partners, LP, a $130MM mezzanine and senior equity investment fund licensed as two Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs). At Stratford, Mr. Brown focused on mezzanine and senior equity investments to middle market companies located throughout the United States. Prior to July 1995, Mr. Brown served as an Associate and later became a Partner of a private investment firm and earlier served as a Vice President in the SBIC affiliate of a large Texas bank after completing its commercial lending training program and joining its Southwest regional banking department. Mr. Brown graduated with a B.B.A in Finance from The University of Georgia and received his MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
