Mr. Akers is Chief Executive Officer of Titan Europe Plc., a publicly traded company on the AIM market in London, England. Mr. Akers graduated as a mechanical engineer from the Engineering School of the University of Wales in Cardiff and later received an MBA from the University of Warwick. Mr. Akers had a career in automotive manufacturing first with British Leyland, where he managed a number of factories in the Land Rover Group, before becoming director responsible for manufacturing of Triumph Cars in Coventry, England. Mr. Akers is a member of the Advisory Board of Warwick Business School. Mr. Akers, who is 68 years old, became a director of the Company in 1992.
