Mary Garwood Yancy

Mary Garwood Yancy is a licensed psychologist currently working in private practice. Mary's enthusiastic support of the Texas Book Festival began with its founding in 1996 and expanded with her role helping to establish the Reading Rock Stars program. Her community involvement has included board and committee work with several nonprofit social service, education, and arts organizations. Mary has been instrumental in the creation of the Texas Child Study Center, a collaboration between the UT Austin Department of Educational Psychology and Dell Children’s Hospital. She holds a doctoral degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
