Jean-Francois Chevrier

Mr. Antoine Rufenacht, Mayor of Le Havre and former French Minister of Industry, presented Chevrier with the insignia of Officer in the National Order of Merit. He explained that above and beyond his activities as an executive in Peugeot Group and Dresser-Rand where he has managed major operations and developed business internationally, Chevrier has devoted a great amount of time and talent to promoting and developing industry. In his role as president of UIMM of Le Havre area (the mechanics industry employers association), Chevrier has developed a close and fruitful relationship with the authorities and all other players of the economic world. His role is expanding at the national level, as he is also a member of the National Counsel of UIMM. In addition to these responsibilities, Chevrier was elected vice president of the Le Havre Chamber of Commerce and Industry a few years ago, where he has been in charge of developing education and training. On a more personal note, Rufenacht expressed how much he appreciated having the opportunity to work with Chevrier.
