Rene Castro

Rene Castro, a Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Vice President, leads the firm’s Charleston, South Carolina, US Navy and Marine Corps business. Mr. Castro focuses on leading the firm's Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) business in the Space and Naval Warfare System's two engineering centers located in Charleston, South Carolina and San Diego, California. Previously, he directed numerous efforts with the Navy and Marine Corps across the East Coast, including Fleet Cyber Forces Command/10th Fleet. Mr. Castro also identified opportunities to assist Navy and Marine Corps clients with their cyber and electronic warfare challenges. Mr. Castro is a subject matter expert in the following areas: Program and acquisition management and planning Security programs, policy, and compliance Security engineering Through his 27 years with the firm, Mr. Castro has enjoyed a long history of supporting Navy Information Assurance (IA) and C4ISR programs. He has served as the program manager for numerous IA-focused contracts and has consulted on many initiatives including cryptographic programs, key management systems, computer network defense, and health-related security projects. Mr. Castro holds a B.A. degree in communications from Rutgers University and a masters degree in business from Johns Hopkins University.
