Mr. Russell C. Horowitz founded Marchex, Inc. and has been its Chief Executive Officer, Treasurer and Chairman since January 2003. He has been the Chief Executive Officer at Archeo, Inc. since November 16, 2012 and its Chairman since October 18, 2012. He was a Founder of Go2Net and served as its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman from February 1996 to its merger into InfoSpace in October 2000, at which time Mr. Horowitz served as the President and Vice Chairman of the combined company through the merger integration process until January 2001. Mr. Horowitz served as the Chief Financial Officer of Go2Net from February 1996 to May 2000 and as the President from February 1996 to January 1999. In March 1996, Mr. Horowitz founded Xanthus Capital, LP. Prior to Go2Net, Mr. Horowitz served as the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Xanthus Management LLC, the General Partner of Xanthus Capital, LP, and of DMR Investments, LLC, the investment advisor to Xanthus Capital, LP. In July 1992, Mr. Horowitz founded Active Apparel Group, Inc., a New York-based apparel supplier. From 1992 to April 1994, Mr. Horowitz served as its Chief Financial Officer of Active Apparel Group, Inc. and Director of Corporate Development and Investor Relations from May 1994 to May 1997. Prior to July 1992, Mr. Horowitz served as a Financial Advisor to start-up and developing companies. He served as a Director of National Discount Brokers Group Inc. since February 2000. He has been a Director of Marchex Inc. since January 2003. He serves as Director at Archeo, Inc. He has been a Director of Go2Net, Inc. since February 1996. He serves as a Director of AskMe Corporation (also known as Hivemine LLC). He served as a Director of Xanthus Management, LLC. Mr. Horowitz holds a B.A. in Economics from Columbia College of Columbia University in 1988.
